Privacy Statement Camping.care

A lot of personal data is entered and exchanged on a platform like Camping.care. In this document, we would like to provide you with a complete overview of all the personal data we process and how we do so.

Personal data that is processed

Camping.care may process personal data about you because you use the services of Camping.care, and/or because you provide it to Camping.care yourself when filling out a contact form on the website. Camping.care may process the following personal data:

  • Your first and last name

  • Your company name

  • Your password

  • Your email address

  • Your IP address

In addition to the above data, we may also process data about your campsite if this has been entered. This may include general campsite information, photos, accommodations, reservations, and invoices.

We also manage guest data within Camping.care. The campsite itself determines which data they wish to keep regarding their guests.

Why Camping.care needs data

Camping.care processes your personal data to be able to contact you by telephone if you so request, and/or to approach you in writing (by email and/or by post) if you cannot unexpectedly be reached by telephone.

In addition, Camping.care may use your personal data in the context of executing a contract for services concluded with you, usually consisting of legal services.

The data you collect from your guests is used to enable reservations and invoicing within Camping.care.

How long Camping.care retains data

Camping.care does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the goals for which your data is collected. Your data will not be kept for longer than a year if no agreement is concluded with you.

Guest data is not deleted by us; you can delete this yourself when logged into Camping.care. It is the responsibility of the campsite to delete this data if desired.

Sharing with others

Camping.care only provides your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of an agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation.

We may share your public data, such as park information, accommodations, prices, and photos, with partner websites so they can include your campsite in their search results. Through our channel manager, you can see exactly whichwebsites your data is shared with, and you can also disable these channels here.

Guest data, revenue, or reservations

Data from your guests can be included in our system in various ways. For example, you can manually add a guest to our system, or the guest can register themselves via an online booking form.

We will never share data regarding your guests, revenue, or reservations with others unless it is necessary for the operation of the system. In that case, we will forward as little data as possible to the other party. For example, we forward an invoice number and the amount to a payment processor to enable iDEAL payments.

We may use your data anonymously for benchmarking. For instance, we can indicate whether your occupancy rate is higher or lower than that of other campsites.

Payment processors Mollie / Stripe / Adyen

These are payment processors to which we pass data in order to enable payments through our platform. This only happens if you have activated these services yourself on our platform.

Channel Manager

With our channel manager, we can share data about your campsite with other platforms. For example, you can make prices and availability available to Booking.com so that people can also make a reservation through that website.

You always have control over which channel managers are turned on or off. An up-to-date overview of all channels we offer can be found in camping.care under settings -> channel manager.

Mapping website visits

General visitor data is tracked on the Camping.care website, including the IP address of your computer, the time of retrieval, and data that your browser sends. This data is used for analyses of visitor and click behavior on the website. Camping.care uses this information to improve the functioning of the website. This data is anonymized as much as possible and is not provided to third parties.

Google Analytics

Camping.care uses Google Analytics to track how users use the website and how effective Adwords advertisements are on Google search result pages.

The information thus obtained, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Read Google's privacy policy for more information. You can also find the Google Analytics privacy policy here.

Google uses this information to track how our website is used, to provide reports about the Website to Camping.care, and to offer its advertisers information about the effectiveness of their campaigns.

Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as these third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Camping.care has no influence on this.

Camping.care has not given Google permission to use obtained Analytics information for other Google services.

Accessing, adjusting, or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can always find all data when logged into Camping.care. You can also send a request for access, correction, or deletion to support@camping.care. Camping.care will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.

Data storage

We have securely stored your data within the European Union. This storage (also known as hosting) is accommodated at Google Cloud in Belgium. Google Cloud is one of the most secure and advanced hosting providers in the world.

Security

Camping.care takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. The Camping.care website uses a reliable SSL Certificate to ensure that your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands.
